How To Read More During School

Wednesday, 10 September 2014
Here are some tips on how to read more during school or just in general. You've probably seen most of them before, but they're the ones that I tend to use. Hope they help.

1. Read what you want to read. Don't force yourself to read anything that you don't want to read. Remember, you usually have the option to audiobook the book if there's one in particular that you're trying to get through. *cough* The Maze Runner *cough* If you read what you like, you're more motivated to read to find out what's going to happen.

2. Set a specific amount of time aside for you to read and stick with it everyday. Don't let anything take it away from you. You deserve that time to do what you want. (Just don't set aside too much time because you have other things like homework to do.)

3. Don't let anything distract you. Like Netflix. I know that sometimes watching movies or checking your Twitter (I'm @HeartsAndCrowns on there) or your Instagram (I'm @heartscrowns on there) involves less effort and you're tired and such (or you're at a boring part of your book), but you need to go read.

4. GO READ NOW!!! (Actually, finish reading this first and then go read.) Don't procrastinate like you do with your schoolwork (I'll admit it too, I procrastinate).

Leave your tips for how you get more reading done down below and I'll see you all soon!
