Caraval Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Lol at how bad this turned out. I was so close to putting the word fail in the title but then I realized who cares? I tried and the haters didn't.

So anyway, for those of you who don't know, I have *zero* artistic talent. I can't draw at all both on paper and on my face. (Lol at people who say you can learn how to draw get with zero talent like me through practice because I know you were born with a certain amount of talent too. I'm literally starting off with nothing here.)

Here's the cover of Caraval if you haven't seen it yet.

I guess now would be a good time to tell you what you'll need. A black eyeshadow, a glittery blue eyeshadow, a LIQUID eyeliner with a SATINY FINISH (yes, if it's gel or has a matte finish, this won't work, and yes, I've tried), mascara, highlighter, a red lipstick, a pink lipstick, and a brush.

I'm hoping I remembered to include everything, so here we go.

1) Say a prayer to the makeup gods that you don't mess up as much as I did (I do this every time I go to put on makeup).

2) Start off with your basic concealer, foundation, primer, and whatever it is you usually do.

3) Apply black eyeshadow all over the lid.

4) Add some blue glittery eyeshadow all over the lid.

5) Take your eyeliner and roughly draw the spikes on your eyelid.

6) Once it's almost dry (you want it to be tacky enough that the eyeshadow will stick too it), pat the glittery blue eyeshadow on top of it.

7) Then draw little spikes coming out from under your waterline.

8) Again, once that's almost dry, pat some more blue glittery eyeshadow on top of it.

9) Add some highlighter to the brow bone and highlight your face.

10) Take your pink lipstick and sort of pat it on your cheeks and blend out slightly.

11) Take some of that red lipstick on a brush and draw some lines and swirls on your cheeks.

12) Apply the red lipstick to your lips.

It looks sort of pink there, but I promise it's actually red.

And now you're done!

Stunning! You can even do this for Halloween and you'll be best dressed for sure!

(Oh, the sarcasm is real. Sorry about my awful makeup skills. I doubt I'll be going into makeup artistry anytime soon.)
